The design of the Mad Madame Beauty Institute is one of our most significant achievements, winning two major awards in 2024: the Interiors Design Awards in Greece and the DNA Paris Design Awards in Paris.
The space of the store spans two floors, covering a total of 180m2. The angular structure of the space required careful planning of distances and the creation of walkways. At the heart of the design was the creation of a space that blends the unpretentious elegance of boho aesthetics with progressive modernism. The design focused on complete customization, with each of the constructions tailored to the unique needs and desires of the client. From the beginning, the goal was to create a space that reflects the institute’s personality, with an emphasis on uniqueness and functionality. This was achieved through the custom-made solutions applied to every aspect of the design.
The raised platform for pedicure, the personalized seats with custom-made cushions, as well as the design of the reception and counters, are all unique constructions combining ergonomics with elegance. For the placement of beauty products offered by the store, a “stand” with inverted curves was designed and created, adding additional value to the boho aesthetic of the beauty salon. Chairs with caning technique complement the curved construction, adding a note reminiscent of the Greek islands. To ensure the privacy of the staff, a new wall structure and hidden entrance were created, which was cladded with natural wooden slats of different widths and thicknesses.
The use of wainscoting in a modern style adds a neoclassical character, while neon light signs offer a pop and modern aesthetic. At the center of the space, compositions of dried pampas provide naturalness and tranquility. The three different shades of natural wood enhance the “warmth” of the space, while the choice of materials for the constructions and furniture creates a harmonious blend.
In the Spa area, the aesthetics take on a bohemian-African dimension, with features such as the curved shower and the arched structure with integrated sink and storage space.
